My friend isn't a big game player, she mostly plays games like Dark Age of Camelot. Right now, I feel really bad for her because she has a pretty nice Dell, but a Rage 128. In search of a cheap solution, I have narrowed it to these products. Which would you recommend? Keep in mind that I'd like her to get a 128MB version, no matter which you recommend.

9000 Pro 128MB is around $90 USD
9100 128MB is around $85 USD
8500 128MB is around $80 USD

I know that both 9x00 cards are often compared to the 8500LE as far as features and whatnot goes.

Thanks in advance!

9100?s are newer and are just the renamed 8500LE?s ? same card essentially.

9100?s and 8500LE?s come in a lot of different clock rate/memory flavors so you probably want to check the spec.?s on any potential card. The Sapphire 9100 128MB is clocked 250/200 and the 64MB card is 250/230.

The 128 card even with its 200Mhz memory is faster than a 9000pro. Here?s a couple reviews. ..

I wouldn?t touch a 9100 with slower memory than 200 ? which I think one of the Powercolor???? Models has.

Just ran into a Powercolor 9100 128MB and it's clocked 250/250 which would be great.

Edit: removed link, didn't work.

LOL. Italian and German reviews -- I know, I couldn't agree more, but If you can find some english reviews on the 9100 feel free to post them. These are all that I could find on the 9100's -- sometimes we just have to take what we can find. Just read the numbers or use BableFish language translation.

Too bad the SUMA Radeon 9100 VIVO 128MB video card isn't available here in Europe or the U.S., comes with 3.3ns ram.
