I have a Radeon 7500 I picked up the other day. Practically free. :) But on the DOS level, it displays errors in the text characters, so I assume it's been heat-damaged.

What MFR makes a G-Radeon 7500 with a blue PCB and a round, red fan - Vantac, I think?
It's got S-vid on top, DVI in middle, VGA on bottom.

I'll try to RMA. :)

Might be a 3rd party fan though... it plugs onto the MB fan header instead of the card itself...

EDIT: It looks exactly like the Apollo cards.... but I can't find any way to return Apollo products on RMA!!

It was just given to me in a trade. Not a shop item. It's RMA or garbage it.

I've RMA'd things before without receipt. All depends on the company....

The only thing I found from Apollo is from overseas in the east. Not going to help me much, I don't think.

If it's under warranty, they should fix it no matter who it was given to.

If you think only the buyer should get RMA "privileges" then you'll have a crummy birthday/Christmas gift. No computer toys given to you! :p

But seeing as how it's almost certain to be a 3rd party fan, I'll keep the fan and toss the card.
It's garbage. Junk all over the screen.... it's dead - plain and simple. No RMA option so out it goes.

*clunk*

On the plus side, I managed to wedge a different fan onto the other card dumped on me - a Creative Labs Annihilator Pro (remember CLAP?) Man... the heatsink is IMPOSSIBLE to remove! (I think I might have crushed one of the teeny-tiny resistors below the GPU trying to get that sink off! Still works though!) :)
Stupid fan died so I ripped it out and jury-rigged another fan on top of the existing sink. Seems to work great so far. :) A BIG improvement over the TNT2 Vanta that it replaced. :p

It sucks being broke. :( Still hoping to find a half-decent VIVO card I can afford.
