My laptop has the 3.5mm stereo out at the front, I want to get a 90deg cable so I can loop it under it. A 90deg adapter will not work.

I can use either a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female about 1-3' long or a 6' or longer 90 3.5mm male to dual RCA.

I checked monoprice, cablestogo, and a couple others and didn't see this part.

I am not into the whole 'earphone' stuff...is 3.5mm and 1/8" compatible? They don't measure the same on paper.

Why don't you just get a long 3.5mm to RCA or 3.5mm cable and bend it around?

Maybe I am not understanding what you are trying to do

I have a long 3.5mm to RCA with a straight connector. It's a bit of a problem though when you have over 1" of cable even when tightly flexed in front of a laptop you are trying to use.

A 90 degree will be a much smaller footprint.

Now if anyone has an ArmadaStation or Armada MiniStation....that could be a nice solution, but I don't want to pay more than $20 to my door :)

I threw about 20 of the ArmadaStation EM's out since we were only keeping the old laptops for restores if necessary. Now that I am using one, I wish I didn't do that.

They're one and the same. I'm not sure which one is the 'correct' measurement these days but they are indeed the same size as far as audio jacks are concerned.

cool then I can find a few...oddly the 90 deg parts are all 1/8" and the others 3.5mm on the sites I was looking at. Still nothing on monoprice though :(

You're trying to find the exact same thing I've been looking for. My Sony headphones have a 90 degree connector so i can set with my laptop in my laptop and not have anything hanging against me to be pryed off. I want to do the same so I can have my laptop in my lap connected to my stereo. For lack of finding an adapter at a 90 degree angle i've been tempted to buy another set of the 12$ Sony headphones from Radioshack for the sole purpose of cutting it's connector off and splicing it onto a male/male headphone cable.

See how flat it is. Perfect when your laptop has its audio ports in the front. You can have the laptop pressed right up to your gut that way.
