90 bucks for combo dvd/cdrw drive and wireless lan?

Well, I am deciding to buy a laptop from hpshopping.com. I can't decide if I should save a 100 bucks and just get the regular dvd drive and no wireless. This is what I'm looking at:

Athlon(TM) XP-M 2200+ 1.8GHz'
256 MB(1X256)DDR SDRAM
30 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive
Microsoft(R)Windows(R) XP Pro
DVD/CDRW Combo Drive
54g Wireless LAN
15.0" TFT XGA (1024 x 768)
Mobility Radeon(TM) 7000

All that for 844 after MIR.

OR

Minus the 54g lan and the combo drive and just get a DVD drive for 754.

What do you guys think? Is there anything better too? Should I wait for X-Mas?

I was planning of getting another chip myself, their prices are like Dell's memory prices.

CDRW/DVD Combo Drive or just DVD drive

I was looking at the Inspiron 5100s......but they are too expensive. Then I saw the Inspiron 1100 deal for 599 but it's only a 2 gig celly and nothing really special about it. Plus no good video chipset.

if you'll be using wifi--get the onboard one.
the convenience of not having to insert a card everytime you need it is worth the $$.

I just PM'd you my advice but this price is really good.

I would stick with 14.1" XGA unless you can upgrade to 15.0" SXGA.

Nice price though, I would take a hard look at the X1000.
