That’s nothing. My 10 year old nephew was expelled for a week from school, six months after the Columbine shootings, just because he made a list of the bullies that picked on him in school. The principal called it a "hit list". Picking on the victim by the school board was the thing to do, I guess.

Well this is timely. My 11 year old boy was goofing around waiting to go home today and he and some kids were playing. He held his hand out and pretended he was shooting at his friends. He was reprimanded for this and he thinks (although he was confused by all the fuss) he is getting a detention.

I called the school office, and they aren't sure what's going on, but if things are as he says (he takes considerable pride in his honesty, but face it, kids don't always get things right), then I'm going to have a talk with these people. That's nuts.

call the local news, and state that the school threatened your kid with a detention for making a gun shape with his hand.

Zero tolerance is saying you are expelled for having a gun at school not a fake gun.

Zero tolerance is saying you are expelled for having illegal drugs at school not Tylenol.

Strange then that the experience in zero-tolerance jurisdictions has been so different.

Zero tolerance means zero thought.

Come on. I took a swiss army knife to school when I was 6 and was sent home because "someone could have fallen on it." Public education is a mess anyways.

The on grounds cop probably would have tased you if not shot you nowadays.

Lets emasculate anyone who might be exhibiting any male characteristics. However, a class in having a Gay dad is prefectly allright.

I was kidding with my first post, but really one needs to tot guns and as early in life as possible to be a straight man now?
