i had the dreamcast fishing rod. it was pretty cool for like 20 minutes then it was lame lol. it had no force feedback like the arcade game did so it lost a huge element.

That Aura thing looked just as stupid to me back then. I still have an unopened uDraw I got FAR from Newegg.

Hahaha they left off one that I won for free : The U-Force, from Broderbund for the NES. Even though it was free, I still wanted a refund.

IIRC, you could put their rumble pack into the fishing controller and then it did.

Oh yes, the list of things that even the most hardcore of video game nerds will never admit to owning. :p

Surprised ROB and Power Pad aren't in the list.

ROB slow as hell and more loud gear noise than a T56 6 speed.

Well, it was ambitious and perhaps too ahead of its time. From what I've seen, it worked fine with the games natively programmed for it. Of course these was only one or two.

IGN says it was made by Nintendo, but I'm pretty sure it a third party peripheral made by Mattel.

Exactly. I remember watching that movie thinking "I can never play that fast on my Power Glove!" It simply takes longer to move a finger then mash a button. I always ended up using the controls on top.

I had a Powerglove and I always thought "Powerglove! So awesome I can play with one hand; the hand not wearing the glove, because it is worthless." I never would let my friends use it though. They'd then find out just how terrible it was.

ROB was so awesome at the time though. Nothing else like it in the US..granted ultimately it was a very expensive toy that never did much else. :/

I played with it a little. There are only 6 commands sent by flashing the screen 1-6 times. Turn left, turn right, open, close, up, down.

I'm surprised there wasn't any mention of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9dAdnC1KUQ

The Rez vibrator so you can make sure the non-player is enjoying themselves as well. ;)

Honestly, I wish one of the current ones had the stones to make and market a vibrator attachment to replace the controllers rumble. It'd work out great, suddenly an influx of female gamers, and they'd just make themselves cannon fodder so they can get some good feedback going, so all the guy gamers would get to keep their ego intact. And see how long 13 year olds screaming racist junk lasts if instead of "@#$% you @$$hole" it was "yes, yes, YES!". And see how many people complain about Kinect then.
