I gave them a try.

QUESTION: Can anyone recommend a good web host that offers FREE 3rd level Domains?

EXAMPLE: I might register the domain www.texas.com. Now I want to set up the 3rd Level Domains austin.texas.com, dallas.texas.com, etc.

I know westhost.com allows 3rd Level Domains but you pay a seperate monthly hosting fee for each one.

I would want to FTP with Dreamweaver, but not FrontPage.

Thanks for the help.

3. Registrant.
You shall will be deemed the registrant of the Domain Names, although
Getadomain will officially be listed as the technical contact thereon.

If you wish to terminate this Agreement and cancel your use of the
Domain Names, you must submit your request to the Accredited Registrar
in accordance with the Registrar Agreement, and notify Getadomain of
such termination in writing.

Cheese: That's common for these domain registrars. Do you really need to be listed as the technical contact anyway?

This doesn't appear to be one of those shady things where you pay a cheap rate, but they actually own your domain.
