9/29 Google Press Event Discussion (Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X)

What I want to know is...will they support Project Fi? That finger print scanner on the 5X plus a $20-$30 plan is very appealing on Fi.

Sucks that the 5X is only going to be 32Gb max, $650 for the 128Gb 6P is a pretty good price though imo.

Just announced that they do.

Bam! I'm on T-Mobiles 2 for $100 unlimited plan right now. But I'm just not using much data. I might break one of them off the plan and save myself some money. Plus my G2 is getting uber clunky with Lolipop. It's like 2-3 seconds sometimes to get it to switch between screens.

Also, the price for the 6P is extremely reasonable. The Nexus 6 was $649 when it launched. Shaving $150 off and offering an all-around great looking device for the price is just icing on the cake.

What happened to $349? Did it never really exist or do people just have short term memory issues?

someone please tell them how to do a lanuch event. They can learn from Apple.

This is borriinnggg!!!!

It's terrible. Samsung's wasn't any better. I don't think anyone can do it like Apple.

These two last speakers are 10x better than the previous ones, though.

camera bump with no OIS? :/
no uSD and no Qi Charging either

... I think I'll just get Moto X Pure Edition.

Disagree 100%. Apple's events are way too flashy, way too much overuse of words like "magical" and "amazing". Google gets right to the point, and I love that. I'm not watching to be entertained, I'm watching to learn about the new devices and services.

I'm definitely sold on the Nexus 6, the 128GB price is very reasonable, but I think 64GB will do just fine for me.

Also getting that new Chromecast unless it's stupidly priced or something. Remote Display looks neat, playing board games on the big screen is cool.

Content, maybe. I was focusing on the presentation. They just aren't good. Obviously was reading the prompter, etc. The three last presenters were much better, but early on, they were just bad.
