Why do amazing deals always come out right after I buy something... 🙁
Thats how it always works. does the same to many of us.

I am not sure how hot this deal is though. Many 8gb sets of 1600 have been going for approx $40. This is a good deal , but I would say warm deal.

Also about big heat sink comments; I do not even get why they are making them bigger. voltage is lower than the past and new tech has usually been running cooler anyway.
Maybe they are trying to make ram more appealing, IDK

About the heat sinks, guess no on efinds it strange that Crosair came out with the same memory in the "low profile" heat spreaders....no big fins sticking off the top....and rated the exact same as the "original" Vengeance set, like the ones the OP linked. Then again, maybe the low profile sets are going to replace the huge sinked ones, hence the sales on those sets.
