I agree. Such obvious trolling should warrant a vacation.

Would we make as big of a deal of it?
Why/why not?
America wouldn't give a sh!t b/c the projects don't represent anything important regarding America or American society. The twin towers were a landmark, a symbol of prosperity and American pride.
That's not to say that the projects wouldn't be rebuilt. But it wouldn't be with a lot of fanfare or national news media attention whoring.
Projects are American leftovers...outcasts...unwanted...poor and needy...etc. Nobody wants to reflect on that.

But he brings up a valid point. Like it or not, Americans don't treat each other the same no matter how much we all wish it were that way.
I think it's a legitimate question, albeit one that sparks a lot of tension in some b/c they don't want to think that race/class plays a roll in society anymore.

IMHO, it's a class issue coupled with the symbolism of the towers. Anybody that thinks class doesn't play a role is fooling themselves.
Hate to get "off topic", but look at the crap that went on with the biggest disaster in aviation since 9/11at a Kentucky airport. Not only was it barely reported, the damn emmy's even had the fricken' dumb nuts to run an offensive scene on the day of the tradgedy.
So IMHO, it ain't about race. it's about class and the symbolism the towers represented.

Not from race or social status, but the towers were a symbol of everything that makes our country great. Projects are a symbol of what makes our country not great, no matter how harsh that seems.
Exactly. No one thinks about the projects and says "Beacon of American pride" or "American solidarity." They think crime, violence, drugs, poor folks, welfare moms, etc. Most Americans think that they won't help themselves so why should we help them?
On a somewhat related note...
- 13-year old black girl from the projects goes missing. What kind of media attention (if any) does she get?
- 13-year old white girl from middle-America goes missing. Stop the presses, [Nancy Grace] Breaking NEWWWWWWWWZZZ [/Nancy Grace]

What does the Kentucky airport crash have to do with class? The fact that it occurred in Kentucky?

BS. If black girl came from a family America could indetify with..eg. middle/upper middle class father is a doctor etc her name and story would be plastered just like the girl in aruba or that Ramsey girl. Remember when Jordan's father was wacked at a rest stop? 24/7 covereage.
How many white trailor trash girls you seen plastered on the news? None for the same reason as a projects black girl who goes missing, most americans feel no kinship or identity to that socioeconic class, no reason watch in both cases.
