Yeah I know it's early, but w/ all the TV shows on the subject, this is still the one day in time that still makes me :(

Outline of the commemoration event program:

:(

I'll be on my corner, facing south for a moment of silence at 8:46.

EDIT: I didn't know Tribute in Light was coming back, I wish that was a permanent fixture. Definitely a sobering reminder of what happened.

If I'm up that early I'd rather be watching Formula One. Hate to trivialize 9/11 when it was only four years ago, but the only thing worth waking up for on Sunday is football and that doesn't start till 1. 9/11 is best observed on a workday/weekday, because that's what we were doing when the our world came crashing down.

Probably wont be up that early - but I'll be remembering in my own way tomorrow...

With my father being a fire chief, and my brother on the department as well I have always felt for the family's that lost someone close to them on September 11th...

They had the lights turn on tonight that shine up to the sky. I could see them from Long Beach, NY.

Can the mods sticky the original 9/11 thread from four years ago in commemoration? I thought they did that before. I know its easy to find via search but a sticky for a day to aid in browsing wouldn't hurt.

I was up on 9/11 at 6AM PST only because I had school early. I haven't ever woken up that early again for a 9/11, and certainly I don't thinkn I will when it's on a Sunday this time.

Anyways, my heart goes out to all of the victims, and I'll take a moment of silence.

Oh right, I was at a Cal football game last year and they took a moment of silence and released hundreds of doves out. That was a beautiful scene.

In all honesty, I don't care about 9/11 at all. If anyone I knew was seriously affected by it, I might feel differently, but as it stands, to me it's just like bad stuff happening all over the world... bad stuff happening to people I don't know.

I probably would have posted in that, it was just before I was banned

those towers may not be standing there physically, but those towers are still standing in my heart.

those people and those towers are still in my heart, forever. god bless New York City, the twin towers and the people who died there.

i still remember going up to the roof and looking below, cars were tiny specs of sand. wow

i say we should rebuild them, bigger and stronger
