Actually probably not...most people just buy into something on face value without thinking.

is this the video with the english guy asking about 9/11?

note that while many of the questions and answers happen in the same take, many of the scenes just are the person saying the answer. so you don't know if that was truly the question being asked.

e.g. when he says "what month did 9/11 take place"...then it cuts to a person saying "october"...he could have really said "what month comes after september?" and spliced that answer in

that said, since generalizing seems to be accepted in this instance, I'm going to generalize that all english reporters/comedians are idiots based on that reporter's questions
