Fatigued for at least 7 years now. Anything related to 9/11 on TV this week gets a great big "Fuck you!" before changing the channel.

Honestly, I haven't heard anything about it except on this forum, and that began on the 1st.

I don't watch tv and have ignored all news stories on this, so no fatigue here.

Never. Knowing people that died that day. I will never forget about them and what they may have gone thru the day and the affect it has had on their families and loved ones.

It's become another venue for one of the most hated men in New York--Giuliani--to plaster his face all over the media for a few weeks every year.

I heard on a podcast the other day about how shortly after 9/11 some comedian said to the Sklar brothers (twin brothers comedy duo) "Did 9/11 affect you guys a little bit more because you're twins?"

Gold.

I am still very sad by the events of that day but more disgusted with all the idiots who feel the need to share their bullshit opinions on the matter, and all the smart people trying to cash in on this as a pop culture event. Both the original day and all the anniversaries.
I think Jon Stewart was the only person I enjoyed watching because his reaction was the most human and the most real.

The actions and inactions this country has taken since 9/11 are worse than the actual event itself. But it's easy to glamorize, glorify, and cash in on a horrific event that grabs your attention and really does a great job of providing snippets of video and sound bites. A 3 second shot of the plane hitting tower 2 really pulls at people's heart strings and makes them all emotional. It's not so easy to convince people that they've given up more in their civil rights, and paid monetarily more, than any terrorist could ever take from us. There's no eye catching videos of Osama running out of the Treasury Department carrying $2 trillion in money bags, or footage of him listening to your phone conversations.

It's been ten years, can we please get over it. I was over it the day it happened.

The terrorists won when they changed our way of life. We let them win.

Yes, it was thermal fatigue that caused the buildings to collapse.

Wrong, they won when they changed our lives. They won when they caused airport security to be rediculous. They won when they caused that patriot act to be enacted (which has been used way way more for drugs than actual terrorism, but thats another story). They won when they further divided our country by causing a rediculous amount racial profiling (lets face it, a lot more white people look at muslims and middle-eastern people a lot differently now). They won when they caused Toby Keith to become popular.

The sad part is we allowed them to win with our reactions to what they did.

Funny. If I start a thread saying I was fatigued from hearing about 9/11 every single day for the last 10 years...I'd be called a racist prick and told to go back to my country.

That's some pretty dangerous thinking there GTaudiophile. I think you might need a little bit of re-education.
