8x compatibility w/ 4x

I was planning on buying an AGP 8x card, but my Motherboard only supports 4x
Would a 1.5v slot accept a .8v card?

I read the video card guide and am still unsure.

Card:GigaByte GV-N68T256DH-N

Motherboard: Asus P4PE-X

8x AGP cards use 1.5V signalling too - just with a reduced voltage swing, that's why they're (falsely) said to have .8V signalling. Besides, 4x gear must be interoperable with 8x counterparts, this or that way. It'll work.
