Saw this and just had a couple of questions. What kind of performance increase should someone expect over a 4x AGP? (Say, for example, in fps in JediKnight2 or Quake3?) THG did a review of several KT333 boards one of which supported 8X AGP (i think) and he mentioned that other manufacturers would follow suit. Anyone know when we can expect 8X AGP to replace 4X? What about Nvidia, when can we expect 8X video cards from them?

performance will be minimal, maybe 3 to 7 fps at best but that's my opinion from what I know about it.

another example would be an increase of just 10Mhz cpu speed at 4X AGP would equal a bord with 8X AGP.

Well, 4X didn't provide much of a performance increase initially, but now 4X is standard and if you want certain features well you're going to need 4X. Now, initially, I don't think 8X will provide much of an increase because most cards don't support that configuration. Seeing the current video cards that are 8X commpatible... well, let's just say that SiS doesn't make very good cards. Hope that helped some.
