I just ran into a strange anomoly with my 8RDA and some XMS2700 Corsair. Ever since day-one I have been running my board with a single 256mb stick in ram slot #3 with no problems what so ever. I decided to try to run it in slot #1 just for the hell of it, and I started having screen lock-ups while gamming.
It did it three times in a row, and simply putting it back into slot#3 (the closest to the CPU) cured it. I had made several successful runs of 3DMark with it in slot #1, but twice it kicked me back to the desk-top which it never has done.
So if you're having 3d application problems, try your single stick in slot #3 to cure it.
