Hello,

I just picked up an EpoX 8rda+ Motherboard, and it seems to be working fine, but I do have one concern. When I set my fsb to 133 in the bios from the default of 100, it also changed the speed of the ram from pc200 to 266. I know my ram is pc200(2100) so does this mean that it's overclocked? Is this going to be a problem? Also, how do I just raise the cpu's fsb without altering the ram's?

I currently have the 03/2003 bios if you need to know that as well. I don't have any special fans/heatsinks on my ram, and my case has 4 case fans.

Thanks,
vpr

PC2100 = 266 = 133Mhz
PC2700 = 333 = 166Mhz
PC3200 = 400 = 200Mhz

You are not overclocking, you are OK.

vpr, Marlin1975 is right. And you really don't want to raise the CPU FSB without raising the Memory FSB. The AthlonXP/nForce2 platform runs BEST when CPU and RAM are run synchronously (i.e. they are at the same speed). But if you must raise the CPU FSB alone, just up the CPUs FSB and go to Memory Frequency in the Advanced Chipset Features section of your BIOS and set it to some fraction lower than 1 (i.e. 75% or some such). Again, I don't recommend this....
