Their is no difference between using ALT+f2 and using the utlity off the floppy except for the bios backing up to floppy (old version of bios that is). I have used that method for my 8ha+ and now on my 8rda+ for a LONG tme now without incident.
Saying the altf2 method was the cause of someone's problem who used his board for a whole week after the flash is ASS A 9!!!!

Altf2 +3305 here and damn proud!

t did write the new BIOS, and I know it succeeded because from then on, it would display the new "Dual Channel Enabled" message that was added to the 3/5 BIOS. And it ran that way fine for a week or so. Then one day I decided to reboot it to test a user's log-in script, and Windows shut down for a reboot, but the monitor stayed black.

I'm very sorry but that is caused by a bad flash!

THIS IS NOT CAUSED BY A BAD FLASH!!!!! If the flash was bad, it never would have booted in 1st place.
