I got my 8rda+ C1 from newegg, they only have the C1 chip in stock, be advised that the 8rda non + does not have the C1 chip!

Thanks, but I'd not want the non+ anyway. Wish I could afford the board right now, but I've got to wait a bit.

Where can I get info on the vdd mod?

Also how do you tell what stepping the mobo is and what rev it is.

I want to be able to get my mem up to 200 mHz, just not sure if the board will do it. I got it about 2-3 months ago.

Are you sure they only have the C1 chip in stock? I'd buy one but don't like to gamble.

I just received my 8rda+ and TB 1700 from Newegg. Got C1. Running at 2100 MHz 10.5 x 200 at 1.65v. I could easily push it higher and faster but I'll wait until this weekend to push it. Got to 2200 MHz 11 x200 at 1.7 but didn't run Prime95 or 3dmark. I think 2300+ MHz is definitely possible. Running on 1 stick of 512mb 3200 Geil value ram from Newegg at 6-3-3-2. Using $7 Speeze heatsink to cool the CPU. 39 C at 2600 rpm. I haven't had much time to mess with it but my initial impression of the 8rda+ is very positive. Lot of options in BIOS and nice extras like Firewire. Manual is very nice too.

Just got my 8RDA+ on 6/17/03 from Newegg. C1 stepping on the chipset reported by WCPUID.

Can't hit 200Mhz FSB synced with 512MB stick of XMS3200. I can get 195Mhz rock solid after hours of benchmarking 3D2001SE. Best I've been able to complete a POST with is 198Mhz though. CPU is running at around 36C idle at 9x195Mhz. System temp is about 28C.

Kind of disappointed considering how many others are hitting 200Mhz. It's only 5Mhz, but still. Also hear reports of some people getting the voltage adjustment option with the latest BIOS, but my board didn't have it.

This weekend I'll try putting some AS3 thermal paste on the north bridge and see if it helps any. But I'm afraid my only solution will be north bridge active cooling and a voltage mod (which I'm not too confident about doing).

So even with C1 stepping, you're not assured 200Mhz out of the box.
