8kha+ will not boot with tbred 1700+

I had a palamino 1700+. I got the newest bios. I put a new tbred 1700+ in and the computer will not boot! I took the tbred out and it boots. What could be the problem? I get error code 25. Thanks!!!

When's the last time you flashed your BIOS?

What power supply? Also, are you not booting or not posting? If you can get into the BIOS check to make sure your settings are what they should be.

I am running a T-Bred 1700+ "A" DLT3 AIUGA Week 0248 in my 8KHA+.

Using the old 11/2001 bios so it doesn't know what the chip is but runs fine.

Currently at 145x12.5=1820MHz+/- at 51C using an AMD retail fan/heatsink.

Been stable for weeks running WinXP and SETI 24x7.

I have a 420 watt power supply. I was running my old 1700+ at 145 fsb with absolutely no problems at all. I am at 133 now. I guess i could reseat the cpu again?
Update! I put it in again but still would not work. I tried it in another computer with a ecs K75SA and it worked fine. It just will not work in the is epox board for some reason. I do not understand it!!!

Well.............. I did it now!!!!!!! I cleared the cmos thinking that might help now I get the 25 error on my cpu as well. do you think my board is defective?

I believe only the rev. 2.0 boards will work with the T-breds. Is yours a 1.x or a 2.0?
