8kha usb problems

i have an epox 8kha that im working on and it has some severe USB problems. i have updated my via drivers, updated windows 2000, un-installed the usb root hub, re-installed it, everything. i cant even get a usb mouse to run on it. i even tried disabling all but the 1st set of usb ports. it detects a usb device, and just puts the yellow exclamation point next to it, and wont go away. if anyone has any ideas with this dop a post my way. thanks.
