8KHA+ - 2 DIMMs OK, 3 DIMMS = death?

(This is a continuation of the "8KHA+ constantly dying" thread, since the issue has changed somewhat.)

I have an 8KHA+, T'Bird 1.4, GF2 MX 400 64M, IBM DTLA 40G, 3x256 Crucial DDR PC2100, NIC, Zip, CD, RW, DVD, 400W PSU.

After several hours of testing, I now know that the board is unstable with 3 DIMMs in it. 2 DIMMs, A-OK. (BTW, if you ever want to know how much 256M of PC2100 is worth to 3DMark2001... about 100 marks. Seriously.) 3 DIMMs, it'll complete 3dMark, but won't do anything else. I've swapped out every DIMM into every conceivable configuration. None appear bad.

So, what's to fix it? Up the DIMM voltage, I've been told, but how much? I also ran the same tests at +.020V and got identical results. Raise the voltage more?? I'll try about anything.

Insane3D is running his Epox 8KHA+ wih all slots full with NO PROBLEMS so it`s not the board, you tried slower ram speed settings?..

The Epox 8KHA+ by default has the voltage higher then normal at 2.6v rather then 2.5v,you could try 2.7v.

on my old abit vp6, it would be less stable with the 3rd slot filled. i went down to 2 and it helped. typical via?? maybe...

btw, what, besides benchmarks (which get old quick) do you actually use the 3rd stick for?? quick solution, take it out....real world consequence: little to none.
