I have the Epox 8K7a+ with Windows 2000, GEForce3 Ti200, SP2, DirectX 8.1, all the patches and everything. Everything is fine when I am doing other things.. play games Quake 3, etc... under the control panel it shows Ultra DMA as Enabled, enabled as well in BIOS [newest BIOS]. When I am burning a CDR or Copying from 1 drive to another.. it slows down really really bad. What did I miss installing. I tried to install the Newest VIA IDE Drivers only but I could not restart the computer again... so I reimage it to the previous config. I have the VIA 4-in One 4.34 or somthing before but it slowed things down so much that I took it out. I installed the AMD Driver pack 1.2 or something that sure did not help to improve anything. Suggestions ? Help ?? Anyone ??
