got my new system running but problem with numerous"ie caused pagefault in user.exe"and "IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault
in module KRNL386.EXE" thought it might be windows or ie bad. reformat installed 98se (was running winme) and changed ie t0 5.0 (was rumnning 5.5) problem still same never would crash unless your on internet. It would happen about every 10 mins.went back and updated bios ,4in1 drivers,AGP drivers(ati rage fury maxx...I know its awful)and modem(winmodem but runs better than my hardware one did)Still would crash on internet.Went into bios changed all to default ran good no crashes.Believe problem lies somewhere in the bios since problem arises (or seems to)if changed to optimize defaults.I've got 1-256mb of crucial ecc and 1-128mb of kingston memory box says ecc but believe its not (only has 8 chips on it)have ecc turned off in bios..also notice that it runs with post code19 wich is test 8259 functionality what the heck is that..Well besides the ie crashing I'm pleased with the system..

I think your problem is with mixing your memory. Try to only run the stick of Crucial. DDR is alot more sensitive to mixing than regular SDRAM. If that still doesn't work, try to enable ECC if your memory is indeed ECC. Just curious, why did you get ECC? It's slower than non-ECC DDR.

Insane3d,thanks for the reply.. I order the 124 kingston memory from newegg nothing in description said ecc but label sticker on box said ecc went to their site (kingston)did a part# search but nothing in description said ecc or even unparity sent them a email wanting to know for sure because I always thought that ecc memory chip count total would be a number dividable by three and my chip has 8 not 9well never did get a confirmation but during all of this I had already order the curcial and order ecc due to the label on the kingston states ecc.Anyway have tried each memory with ecc on/off and by itself and in different slots it doesn't seem to matter.Any idea what the pulse code test is referring to? thanks
