8K7A Floppy problems?

I just bought an 8K7A and installed it in my box last night, but I was totally unable to get anything going because I couldn't get my floppy to work! I tried 3 different cables and two different drives, but I kept getting a "Floppy Drive Fail" message in my startup. The one time I finally managed to NOT get that message (with a 3rd drive at about 2:30 last night), I got a "Disk I/O" error - I think one of my other drives killed my bootdisk.

So, I'm curious to see if this board is known to be finicky with 3.5's? Perhaps I have a board with a dead port?

I had that problem with disk io error.
I found that the default setting was swap floppy in the bios.
I am not really sure fixed it. I tried the cable that came with the board and that didnt help so I put my original back on and reversed the cable since that cable didnt have notches and then messed with the bios floppy settings and it started working.
I havent tried to use it since I flashed to the 1711 bios.

LOL

If it hadn't been so late last night, I definitely would have tried some more things, but I was just to tired.

I don't think it was set to swapable, but I'll check that, thanks!
