8INXP - Back from Japan

HI All:

Just got back from Tokyo. Got TWO GA-8INXP, very difficult to find in Akhibara. I ended up paying YEN 34,400 including taxes (Wife denied permission to keep both of them)

Building with one, selling the other on the famous auction site. Picked up a 2.4B SL6EF (WK: 46) pack date 12/23/2002. Waiting for memory to arrive (Kingston from Newegg). I am building this machine for a friend of mine.

Will update later on the results. Also picked up a PCI BUS Analyzer so we will see how good the BIOS is in maintaing the AGP/PCI freq.

Did you see any of the Gigabyte GA-SINXP1394 motherboards?

Read that they where going for around 19,000 yen, looks like a much better buy.

No, I did not see any. But just browsing around, Japan is not a place to buy if you want bargains. Prices are generally high.
