I can't seem to get the hard drive led to work on my case. The Power LED is working fine but th HDD light is not. Any suggestions or others with the similar problem?

gigabyte 8ihxp and Kingwin KT-436B

The HDD Led only works for the 4 standard IDE ports.
It will not light up if your Hard Drives are using the promise ATA133 RAID ports.
This is true of any motherboard w/onboard raid.

However there may be a RAID Led you can usee instead.

This is VERY untrue! My 8IRXP IDE led worked fine with the HD connected to the RAID controller, and it works like a champ hooked to the RAID controller on the 8IHXP! Make sure you select ATA mode in the bios, and change your 1st or 2nd boot device to SCSI. After that, the LED should lite just fine, if you are using the RAID controller. If not, then either the polarity is wrong despite what the tester said, or your LED is burnt out...
