8GB vs 16GB

I know this general question has been answered many times but what about these circumstances?

I have currently 8GB at 1600Mhz with CAS of 9. Will there be any impact in gaming at 1440p by getting another 8GB of the same ram? Will 4 dimms hurt my Haswell overclock? What about 4 dimms of the ram mentioned previously vs 2 dimms of 16GB at 2400MHz with CAS 10?

Basically for gaming at 1440p:
