8gb vs 16gb RAM for Gaming

I didn't even notice a difference going from 4gb to 8gb... If you have an SSD, the more RAM you install, the larger the pagefile. Some people just disable this, but everytime I tried to do this or make it smaller, I got blue screens.

FWIW, I recently built a Win7 Pro system with an SSD boot drive and 16GB RAM. I'd never before operated without a page file, but thought I'd try eliminating it and seeing what happens. I figured a crash or two couldn't hurt much if it didn't work, and then I would just re-enable it. But I've been running now for two months with zero crashes of any kind.
