Hey there. I'm trying to get 8GB of OCZ2P1066LV4GK into my rig:

Gigabyte EP45-UD3R (F9 bios)
Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
ATI HD4850
Asus Xonar DX
Antec NeoPower 550
Western Digital Blue 250GB
Windows XP

I have no problems using either 2*2GB kits by themselves, but when I have all 4 sticks in I get constant reboots and will not post. Any advice on settings that could get this running?

By the way, sorry if this is in the wrong section...

WRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUM!!!!!!!!! oh my god, i can't believe you. this goes in the memory and storage forum! AT's RAM experts only read that forum, and you have no hope by posting this in general hardware! my god, 8GB of RAM, yeah pal, no one here can help you with that. we are far too busy picking out mouse pads and fantasizing about future builds. but maybe you could try turning up your MCH voltage and vdimm slightly. OCZ says those mods need at least 1.85 volts, so give them 1.9 or 1.95 since you're running two pair. but that's all i can do for you. except WRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUMWRONG FORUM!!!!!!

don't you hate people who do that?

run Memtest86 vX.XX and run the ratio 1:1 to make sure it runs at its advertised speed..

i recently bought another DDR2 1000 kit and ran tests; but when i ran it 1:1 (a week later) it failed right off the bat.

let me guess you were running 2 sticks before?

running four sticks puts a huge burden on the northbridge (MCH).

set the memory for 1:1 and then put all four sticks in and see what happens.

you might be like me, where the MCH is the bottleneck for the overclock. I cant even run the next higher divider than 1:1 at the fsb speed im at (Q9550/433FSB on a P35)

anything higher than 1:1 @ 433fsb = no post.

im running the exact same sticks of memory you got, and i was considering going to the p45 but considering the problems youre having, either ill pony up for x48 or just keep the system where its at.
