8GB Kingston USB storage problem

I'm trying to put a 6.3GB file into the usb, but it keeps saying "Drive is full, please empty contents out of folder".

But I have NOTHING in my flash drives and it keeps saying that it's full. My flash drive's actual size is 7.44GB and there's nothing in it, but I can't put a 6.2GB file into it because it says that it's full. Please help!

That'll be using FAT of some kind, which means max filesize is 4 GiB.

If you must use the drive for a file that large, you'll have to format to NTFS.
