Not sure about CPU support though; the new Zacate/Bulldozers should work with these; not sure about other platforms.

Well search around; they are available.

I would opt for ECC though, the added costs would be minor and you get the assurance of properly operating memory on ECC platforms. Usually implies an AMD setup, or you would need an Intel server chipset to enable ECC.

I want to go to 32gb on my SandyBridge box. SB does not support ECC. Non-ECC do not exist yet.
