God, im still not used to living this far north....

Its been setting around 4:30-5 lately too, just so strange to have such short days...

Anyone here from the north?

It has been rising at like 7:30 and setting at 6 for where I live (Indiana).

It's nice going to school at 6:30 in the dark and getting back home at 7:00 in the dark after being inside all day:disgust:

Just how far north are you? i am at ~45 N our sunrise is about 7:30 sunset ~6:30, this is on Daylight savings time next week we will "fall" back to standard time 6:30 sunrise 5:30 sunset. The good news is that we should be getting out of the rapid change months and entering the slow change period. Time for all good pagans to start putting out lights to begin the celebration of the solstice!

In another month we will only have 4 hours of daylight where I live.

I haven't looked at a globe lately but I think Alaska is further north than the Netherlands. I don't mind it at all really. Like Balthazar said, I'd prefer darkness all the time. And I don't care about needing heat, that's what the furnace is for!
