8800GTX v 9800GT Sli'd ???

Quick question, I have a BFG 8800GTX OC2 version but have a few BFG OC 9800GT's, do you think a SLi'd pair of 9800GT's would be better/worse/on a par with the 1 8800 GTX?

They would be faster in games that support SLi

A 9800 GT is an 8800 GT, which was some 10% slower then an 8800 GTX, especially at higher resolutions. So, of course that 2X9800 GTs will be a lot faster then a single 8800 GTX.

Do you think there are any non SLI games anymore? I don't think there are.

not so much "non-sli" games as there are games that aren't as optimized for SLI. In theory you can get 2X performance out of two cards but drivers are never perfect, so sometimes you have to be happy with minute increases in performance.

Thanks for the replies, I am thinking more about Crysis warhead and FarCry 2 really, if the 9800 SLi will give more performance on those 2 games I might give it a go......

P.S. I run 1920 x 1200 native res if that would make a big difference?

Yes, two 9800GTs would definitely be faster in Warhead and Far Cry 2.
