The G92 8800GTS 512 would be about equivalent and produce less heat than the GTX... But there is really no point, your GTX is fine to hold you over until the next absurd cards come out. Wait for the next generation.

Normally these are the words of a jaded gamer with a geforce6200TC
But you have a point, IMO. Crysis is the only game that would require it but it doesn't make good use of it.

Hold out till the next cards in March

I lol'd at the "jaded gamer with 6200TC" comment.

The 9800gx2 is said to 'only' be 30% faster? That's not worth it to lose the 8800gtx for if you ask me.

yes, and be prepared to drop money on a psu if you get a second GTX.

just wait for the next gen cards. for now, I dont see how a single GTX is not enough for you. most importantly what is your native resolution?

Though it IS the game that pushes the hardware the most, I thought it was a pretty average game.

"Crysis is the only game that would require it but it doesn't make good use of it."

your retort makes absolutely no sense in context..
