What is better? I'm thinking linked, just like when you try to OC your CPU with the RAM unlinked it screws things up.

what do you guys think?

oh, and for those who overclock their 8800GTX cards, you NEED to read this:

http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?p=446

Right now my EXACT settings are:

634 Core (which equals 621 in reality)
1512 Shader (linked to 634)
1003 Memory (which equals 999 in reality)

only asking because i thought my graphics OC was stable, but COD4 froze last night randomly, i dont think its my CPU as i've primed it over night. i think it was because of the unlinked shaders!

Having to overclock the shaders individually, will probably allow you to hit higher shader clocks, then you would normally have with them unlinked.

On my 8800GS when linked the shaders caused artifacts at a lower frequency than the GPU was capable of. I got about 20 - 25 MHz higher GPU OC with the shaders unlinked from the GPU.
