Well, my card arrived today and got it installed - it's the Leadtek one.

I had a 7900gs SLI setup in before, and to be honest I was not expecting a huge improvement, but the difference is very noticeable.

Not had much time for testing many games so far, but no problems yet.

Got 11769 3DMark06 score (clocked at 635/2000) - not bad for a single card setup! Especially when I see a lot of the SLI setups with the 8800GTX's are getting 16000...

Anyway, got nobody here at home who would appreciate this, so just had to share :)

Heh, it's a hell of a card chris.
nVIDIA got this one right this time.Full Image quality, and stunning performance.
The performance leap over the previous generation cards is...unbelievable.
Enjoy your new card mate :)

Got up to 11945 in 3DMark 06... sweet!

I know it's not going to make an ounce of diff to anything, but I just got to break 12000!

Wouldn't be too hard if my damn Tuniq would cool my CPU properly!

Overclock your CPU by 100MHz more and you'll break 12K easy. You could also try lowering quality setting from 'Quality' to 'High Performance' in CP, which will probably net you 200~300 more points.

The 11945 was with the cpu clocked at 3.375 - I can get it stable there but it runs hot. It even runs hotter than it should at 3.15. Will have to try re-seating the Tuniq again.

As for lowering the quality settings, I tend not to do that to up my score - I like my score to be relevant to the settings I use - minus forced aa and af.

Am surprised though that a 225MHz increase on the CPU only landed me just under 200 points though. For general 24/7 use don't think it's going to be worth pushing the e4300 past 3.15....
