I went with an 8400gs PCI at a fraction of that fraction... I think I paid $30 bucks AR.

The 9600GT is better than the 9600GSO in gaming though.
If you're going to get a 9600GSO, watch out for the new ones that are based on another core and have only 48 shaders compared to the 96 shader ones.
