8800GTS - Power Issue?

I just got an 8800GTS 320 and i'm not sure if its running aswell as it should.

I thought if it didn't get enough power it would just crash?

Will it just slow down if it doesn't get enough power?

I only have a 300w power supply, and I wasnt sure if it was going to run.

I was going to buy another one if the system didnt boot or crash.


Running

E6600@3.0, 1.2v
P5B Deluxe/WiFi
2Gig Ram.
3 Hard Drives
1 Cdrom.


EDIT:

I'm not getting artifacts or anything like that.
The card even overclocks fine, running 640/1880.

The 8800 is some ghetto brand, Inno3D.
Cheapest at store, $409AU.
I just needed something to play Bioshock with.

Running a 320MB with the specs in my sig, getting 7k with the CPU OC'ed to 2.8Ghz. With your E6600 @ 3.0 you should get 9k or 10k (All 3dMark06)

I have e6400 @stock and 320 @stock and get about 8500 points.
witht he e6400 overclocked to 3.2 Ghz I get just over 10 thousand 3dmark06 points. hth! :0)
