I have my evga 8800GTS 320MB overclocked at 630mhz/950mhz

It's been running stable in ATI tool 0.26 running ATI arifact tester, and there are no yellow dots or anything. It's been running for an hour and half.
the only thing that irks me .. is the lack of high temperatures?? I know this might be a overclocker' dream, but seriously.

It's at 60C now.. on load. my fan is pushing at 80% fan speeds...
rivatuner shows my existing clocks 630/950mhz..

can anyone explain the "cool" temperatures?? I've seen others at my speed, and they have been quite high around the 70s.. is there a problem like a "fakey" overclock?

Please help me out here, thanks ! :D

I've seen that too. I'm currenty running mine at 630/1010. I can't do 635 or it starts artifacting :(. My highest temps ever observed after alt-tabbing out of a game was 71C. But I was logging temps today while playing Oblivion and they never went above 60C in the log. I have extremely good case cooling though with a 250mm side fan blowing on everything.

Not impossible. I ran 625/1020 and it never broke 62C full load.

I would say not average, but certainly plausible.
