8800GTS does HDR in Oblivion?

Before the 8800 GPU the only cards that did HDR in Oblivion were the high end ATI cards, correct? Do I have the correct information there?

If so, my question is, do the new nVidia cards, the 8800GT_ cards, do every possible graphical feature in Oblivion including HDR?

Ummm...no. IIRC, 6600gt or before were HDR capable. My 7600gt can do everything in Oblivion except HDR+AA, not sure if the 8800 can. Think you're thinking of HDR+AA that ATI cards could do.

Is there any place that explains how to do this? I just entered the pre-game options menu and turned on 4X anti-aliasing and then started the game. When I attempted to turn on HDR from the in game video options menu it told me I had to turn off AA and then restart the game in order for the settings to take affect. Thanks.

You turn on HDR in the Oblivion graphical options menu, then force AA through your graphics card software.

That's not what is referred to as "the control panel". When we talk of about forcing things through the control panel, we mean the driver control panel for your video card. (e.g. You can access it by right clicking on the Nvidia icon in the task tray by your clock - like this)
