8800GTS 640 and Power Supply Question

Hello,

I really want to get a new video card. 8800 GTS 640 looks sexy but I need to know if this power supply will be ok for it

Antex Trio 430W

I have a cheap Dynex 500w Power Supply that has 16A on the +12v Rail.

Is there a website I could check out "approved" Power Supplies?

Second, that PSU should be fine for your 8800gts. It has 3-16A 12v rails.

Third, the Corsair HX 520 would be a better choice though. It has 105 degree rated caps instead of 85 degree caps and should last even longer. I saw it listed on hot-deals forum for $80 with free shipping.

The 430 will be "okay" but I'd agree with Zardnok on the HX 520.

Also know that the 8800GTS/GTX stock cooling dumps a lot of hot air in your case and really benefits from good intake.

I got the 650w version and called it a day. we'll see how that goes
