Looks like the stock cooler will do its job rather well.

Think it uses three phase power instead of 2 as seen in the GT. So a better power circuitry you would expect for a high end card. Im more interested in how the new cooler performs and how by angling the fan toward the GPU area have any effect on its cooling performance.

More fin surface area than the stock GTX cooler? Looks like it.

GPU heat doesn't look like it'll travel to PWM area. Three heatpipes, nice!

It must be different, to justify the higher price tag, but... is it that much different in terms of performance, or just a slightly improved GT with a "fancy" heatsink...?

Only time and benchmarks/reviews will tell...

I would not spend $380 on a Video Card, and don't get me wrong, I am not trying to put it down.

I am still happy that it cost me ~$228, and if the performance is only 80% of the GTS, to me it will be more than worth it, for the price I paid.

Same, I'm loving my GT. It's one of those cards that waiting 2 years to upgrade for is worth the wait. CoD4 never drops below 40 FPS and Crysis never below 20. Amazing.

I'm just playing. The GT leveled the playing field for sure. I paid exactly $649 for a GTX at launch. Will I ever pay that much for a gfx card again? Only if it eats everything else for breakfast, twice over..

The 8800GTS is 80% of the speed of a 8800GT. not vice versa. despite being more then 150$ cheaper...

8800ultra > 8800GTX > 8800GT > 8800GTS.

the new v3 GTS isn't out yet. I am talking about the old GTS. He said 380$ and thats the old GTS price.. the new GTSv3 is price gouged to 450+ last I checked.

Wait til the reviews hit around 11~12th december. It is surely faster than the 8800GT but by how much is the real question that everybody wants to know.

Yeah. I think the dual-slot cooling solution will provide better cooling and also a quieter experience than with the GT. Also, being a faster card, that is probably worth the extra cheddar on the GTS.

Wishful thinking. The GT was designed JUST to satisfy those who complain about dual-slot cooling, the ones who don't like big monstrous video cards. I don't mind. I like to look in my case and see a monster waiting to eat a game for breakfast.

Performance-wise, I think the G92 GTS is positioned between the GTX and Ultra.
