I game try to game @ 1920x1200(native 24" res.) and noticed that I can't run my games maxed out like I used to with my old CRT(duh). The 8800gt doesn't seem to be cutting it unless I turn AA off in games such as COD4, Crysis, and Medal Of Honor Airborne...and even then it still struggles a bit.

In crysis it struggles @ 1680x1050 with CCC 1.31 mod at level 4(high).

I"ve got an offer where I can trade my 8800gt oc for an 8800gtx for $105+shipping so like $120 in the end

I dunno if I should get this or hold out till the R700 or 9900's come out...maybe even get a 9800gx2 then since the price will most likely drop.

BTW, I don't have SLI!

And it definitely will not allow you to play Crysis any better.

It doesn't worth it indeed. The GTX will be just marginally faster at that resolution then the GT is. Keep your money and wait for the next generation of cards.

The one thing I wonder about is average & minimum FPS in the GT vs GTX comparision & wether seat-of-the-pants performance gains might well be significantly more then the benchmark numbers suggest in the AT tests.

I can't comment about the GT personally because I've never used one, but with the exception of Crysis I run all the games mentioned by the OP at maximum everything using a GTX @ 1920x1200 without so much as a hiccup.
