i removed my stock 8800gt single slot cooler and replaced the original TIM with AS5. that seemed to install fine, but i'm worried about the memory cooling pads.
Question:
is it okay to take off the stock cooler, leave the memory cooling pads on, then re-install the stock cooler with the stock memory pads?
that is what i did and i dont know if the memory is overheating or not.
my temps don't seem to be any better. its actually 2C higher than before, but lets give the AS5 some hours of burn in. i'll report back in 12 hours or so.
