8800GT Overclock

Have an 8800GT coming in the mail, and I would like to know what the overclock limits generally are for this chip and also the memory. Also, what temperatures should I make sure that it does not exceed?
 
What cooler are you using? If you force 60% fan speed or higher (not too loud, not too slow) a good card should hit around 700/1700/950-1000 at max (core/shader/memory)
 
Ran my BFG 8800gt OC 512 edition from best buy at 734/1790/1920 from stock of 600/1500/1800. Manually increased fan speed in Rivatuner to 80% while gaming in 3d perf mode. Crysis load temps were around 84C.
 
i could run my fan at 100 and stay below 75. I dont see it as a prob. My 1950xt used to run at 96-97 when overclocked in crysis.

edit: also keep in mind, hours of crysis heats my gpu up more than any other program i have.

cod4 or quake3 could run full steam at 60C with 100% fan speed: similar to raiders' temps.
