I think AA makes a huge difference in the immersion experience of a game - based on that review it looks like 256mb struggles in newer games w/ AA, at least at higher resolutions.

In my opinion, the 8800gt 512MB version is worth the higher cost if you consider:
- 512MB is ~$60 more, if you can find a card in stock at US $270
- With current movie prices at US $10-15 where I live, this is about the cost of 5 movie tickets
- Each game offers ~30 hours (min) of play time, which is 15 movies
- One could potentially play 5-7 games if your card lasts (say) 2 years (this assuming you have a day job and life)

Not sure how this comparison would work in the UK, I know it is similar in Australia. Also, the cost difference between the 3850 256mb and 512mb is only US $30 on newegg.
