8800gt: any way to check "usage" like "CPU usage" in task manager?

i have both programs, where on each can i check GPU-Usage??

i can't seem to find it anywhere on GPU-Z 0.3.3
under rivateuner Hardware Monitoring, it only gives me readings for the clocks, core and ambient temps, fan speed and sensor volage. nothing about GPU Usage.

fyi, i'm not looking for temp monitoring..

does the 8800gt (g92) support gpu usage monitoring?

i'm aware that the latest ATI cards support it and show it in Catalyst (am i right?)

Yes, with ATI usage is shown in the CCC under Overdrive. But you can see it in GPU-Z if you click the sensors tab and it has all the info you need- specifically 'GPU load %'

As Sylvanas said sensor tab in GPU-Z or in Rivatuner go to hardware monitoring then click setup and then check the Gpu Usage option in data sources section.

i clicked setup in Rivatuner Hardware Monitoring and there is no option for "GPU USAGE", nor is there an option for this in GPUZ Sensor Tab.
What video cards are you guys using?

Inside setup go to the data sources scroll option and scroll down, if GPU usage isn't there then maybe rivatuner doesn't support your card (kinda hard to believe).BTW my card is HD4850.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't monitor GPU usage on nvidia cards. All the suggestions stated before (rivatuner, gpu-z) only show usage with ATI cards.

Interesting, learn something new everyday 😛

that sucks, thats such a cool feature. is it me or you guys constantly monitor your CPU usage 1 way or another? whether its through task manager, vista/google sidebar, speedfan, etc. i do.

wish i can do it with my gpu

I monitor my CPU usage constantly as a lot of stuff keeps going on and I need to keep tab on what's running etc, but not GPU usage.

I don't monitor my GPU usage constantly, but it does come in handy when I want to see if I'm more CPU or GPU limited in a certain game.

i don't actually do anything on my computer except monitor its CPU usage.

No of course i don't normally sit there and look at it. It's only relevant to look at if the system is responding sluggishly and i need to see if there's a process sucking up the CPU that shouldn't be.
