How bad or good is this card? It's going in a rig with the following parts
e6850 oc to 3.8ghz, gigabyte p45ds3l mobo, 2x1gb crucial 800mhz ram, win7 64 bit os, gaming at 1280x720 on a 32inch LCD HDTV.

I will mainly play cod4,mw2, fallout 3, grid and dirt 2. I'm wondering what kind of framerates to expect. I don't use AA at all or AF. I would like to play at high setting if possible. I know the res is low, I'm hoping to get decent framerates. My psu is a earthwatts 430watt.

If this card won't get me good framerates I'm gonna keep it until
I can get a better card. Now for a better card what can I use under $150 from nvidia new that will work on my psu and give me a good framerate?

I figured if worst come to worst I can try to find a used 9800gtx+ or a 8800gt. I think the psu is too weak for a gtx 260 but I may be wrong here. I don't want to upgrade the psu as I don't have the cash to get a new OAU and video card.

I only run 1 hard drive, 1 DVD drive, 2 sticks of ram, the oc CPU at 3.8 arctic cooler freezer 7 pro in a antec 300 case with all the case fans working. I don't have alot of stuff running off the psu wattage wise but I worry it's too low in amps on the 12v rail to run a gtx 260 if so what do you suggest??

The 8800GS should be around the performance level of a 9600GT, HD 3870, HD 4670, and GT 240 (for various references). So it's slower than an 8800GT.

Just about any card under $150 will work with your current power supply. A GTX 260 should be ok. If anything you can lower the overclock on your processor a bit if you had to. Another good alternative is to pick up an HD 5750 or 5770, which should be plenty of horsepower at 720p resolutions.

I got my cash back for the psu lol, I'm gonna buy something bigger with more amps on the 12v rail. I'd love to get a gtx 260 but the price is rediculous now. I remember seeing a new msi gtx 260 at the egg for $139 new now you can't get a new one for under
$190 shipped that's stupid lol.

I like nvidia more then ati but if nvidias pricing is too high I'm buying red lol

Well after looking at psu choices I stuck with the earthwatts
430watt psu. It's gonna be a few months before I can get a better video
card
