After assembling my rig and starting my computer for the first time my motherboard is emiting a constant loud "beeep" for 5 seconds when I power on the computer. After 5 seconds the computer automatically restarts itself, then starts back up and immediately starts beeping again but this time stays beeping until I power it off.

Couple things I should note:
I am using an Abit IP35 mobo, theres 3 black pci slots and 1 blue agp. I put the 8800 in the blue AGP slot the blue slot because it had a latch that holds it secure..(was it suposed to go in the pci slot????)

The card came with an additional power cord, (it's Y shaped, it has 2 psu connecters steming from it) both these psu connecters are meant to be pluged into the psu correct? I used a second Y adapter that came with the case to connect both the video cards psu-compatible plugs into the psu because the EVGA cord was too short.

I tried using the 2 different types video cords that came with the lcd and neither one displays any information when attempting to boot the computer.

Help please.

What the hell? The 8800 is PCI Express so it won't fit into an AGP slot (or into a regular PCI slot for that matter).

the blue slot is correc on the IP35 iirc

You might not be getting enough power - today I forgot to attach the two PCI-E power plugs in and it beeped loud until I turned it off.

Make sure both are powered in and not only that but there is enough power coming from your PSU otherwise it will do jsut that - beep loudly
